Own the strategy behind how RankMesh's AI agents get businesses recommended by Google and by AI search engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. You'll work directly with our agent engineering team to turn SEO and GEO expertise into the rules our agents execute automatically, and review the agents' output on real customer sites before it ships.
What you'll do
- Define the technical SEO and GEO playbooks that RankMesh's AI agents execute: what to fix, in what order, and why
- Review AI-generated content, schema, and technical fixes for accuracy before they go live on customer sites
- Analyze AI search visibility data (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity citation rates) and turn findings into agent improvements
- Run experiments on GEO tactics, including entity optimization, passage structuring, and citation building, and measure what actually moves citation rates
- Work with customers on escalations where an agent's recommendation needs human judgment
- Stay ahead of how Google's ranking algorithm and AI search retrieval mechanics evolve, and translate that into product changes
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical SEO (schema, Core Web Vitals, crawl optimization)
- Demonstrated experience with or strong working knowledge of GEO / AI search optimization (RAG, entity signals, AI Overviews, LLM citation behavior)
- Comfortable reading data and forming hypotheses. This is an analytical role, not just an execution role
- Experience auditing or QA-ing AI-generated content and technical changes for correctness
- Clear written communication: you'll be documenting playbooks that get turned into agent logic
Engineering, AI Agents · Bengaluru, India (Remote-friendly) · Full-time
Build the AI agents that power RankMesh: the systems that crawl, analyze, and ship fixes to customer websites, and the retrieval pipelines that track and improve how often our customers get recommended by AI search engines. This is a backend-and-AI-systems role: you'll be writing the Python that turns an SEO/GEO playbook into something that runs autonomously, 24/7, across hundreds of customer sites.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain Python services powering RankMesh's AI agents (technical SEO fixes, content generation, rank tracking, AI citation monitoring)
- Work on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that track brand citations across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity
- Build integrations that let agents ship fixes directly, including GitHub pull requests and CMS APIs (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)
- Design and maintain the data pipelines behind rank tracking, AI visibility scoring, and the ROI dashboard
- Write production code that runs unattended at scale: reliability and observability matter as much as functionality
- Collaborate directly with the SEO/GEO team to turn their playbooks into agent logic
What we're looking for
- 3+ years professional Python experience, comfortable with production backend systems (APIs, async workloads, scheduled jobs)
- Experience with or strong interest in LLM-based systems (RAG, embeddings, prompt-driven pipelines)
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs (Google Search Console, GitHub, CMS platforms) is a strong plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where the product itself is an AI system, not just software that calls one
- Bonus: prior SEO/martech industry experience, though not required
